Enactus Leeds Met

My Presentation With The Enactus Leeds Met Team

For those who have been following me on Twitter or Facebook you will notice I have been updating a lot about a new Leeds Met society called Enactus Leeds Met.

If you don’t know what Enactus is, allow me to explain. Enactus was originally called SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) and was founded in 1975 in America.

It operates in 39 countries around the world and works with 1600 universities globally. Enactus UK operates in London and the executive director is Jim Ineson.

The name Enactus is actually broken down into three parts:

  • Entreprenurial
  • Action
  • Us (The community that supports Enactus projects)

The goal of the organisation is to empower entrepreneurs who want to change the world in a minor or significant way by giving them access to specialist business leaders, university academics and a ton of like minded young people looking to make their mark.

I have already been fortunate enough to meet some of these incredible people. And they have all taught me invaluable lessons already.

Alexandrya Carmen-Mbu, member of Enactus Lincoln has taught me the importance of entrepreneurial empowerment.

Iulia-Delia Popa, fellow member of Enactus Leeds Met, has taught me the importance of delivering on your promises.

This is now a hugely important part of my life and I want to continue sharing my journey with you as I begin working on marketing promotions and recruitment drives for the society.

Below is a recent presentation I gave with two other members of the Enactus Leeds Met team (Iulia and Haydn). I hope this gives you an idea on what Enactus is all about and how passionate we all are about it.
